When in operation, the vibration exciter generates high-frequency, low-amplitude vibrations that are transmitted to the hopper's inner surface. These vibrations reduce the friction between material particles and the hopper wall, as well as the internal cohesion among particles. As a result, the bulk material is fluidized to a certain extent, breaking up stable arches (bridging) and hollow cavities (rat-holing) that form naturally during storage. The material then flows uniformly from the discharge port at a controllable rate, ensuring a steady supply to downstream equipment such as vibrating screens, conveyors, weighing scales, or packaging machines.
